Filming No. 4 took place over 2 days in the woods near the megalithic remains in Wéris, Belgium. Working as a group of self-directed entities, the aim was to eliminate a preconceived goal and delve into observation and experimentation using a wide range of formats— 16mm film, 35mm film, VHS, Phantom high speed video and 3D scan. A fundamental point of inquiry was to collect a variety of recordings of a singular event and confront the translations. Only natural lighting was used to eliminate long set ups. Cameras were loaded with film and anyone could shoot at anytime. Performance artists Stav Yeini and Siet Phorae self-directed their movement and as the contract of openness unfolded, we began recording the in between moments as much as the action.
